Dove Hunting Opening Weekend ~ September 2011

Cody got on a Dove Lease again this year, so of course Kylie, Cody & Tuff went out Opening Weekend to bring home dinner. Kylie looks forward to this every year. I just love that they have so much fun together!

We were blessed by another wonderful get-together this year with my sister Yvette and niece Emily coming in from England. Luckily we were able to join them at Uncle Norman & Aunt Loretta's in San Antonio for a yummy lunch and quality time together. Love my Family Time!!!

Soon after we got back from our vacation to Galveston, we headed to Christoval to see Jennifer, Waleed and Maren. The kids had so much fun playing in the wading pool and feeding the cows. It's always so nice to see family.

Galveston Trip ~ July 2011

For our first vacation as a family of 4, we traveled to Galveston to spend some time at the beach. It just so happened that it was the first time we saw rain in ages as this year has been the hottest on record and we are in a devastating drought. We tried to send the rain on to Austin but of course it would not travel so far.

While in Galveston, we spent quite a bit of time at Moody Gardens, enjoying the IMAX theater, the Pyramids and the water park. It was so nice that Ky and Daddy could spend time in the water while Cage and I could stroll around the pyramids in the AC.

As well as spending time at Moody Gardens we took a trip on the ferry to Bolivar Peninsula, dined at Landry's on the beach, and toured some museums. It was such a wonderful time!

Honey's First Solo Trip With The Kids

For my first solo trip with the kids, I took them to San Antonio so Cage could meet his Great Granny Miller. It was just a short trip but I have to say I did okay. Of course, MelMel & Papa met us in town so we could eat at Luby's, a tradition my PaPa started when I was young.

Ky's 5th Birthday Party at Snip-It's

For Kylie's 5th Birthday, she had a party at Snip It's Salon in Austin with her friends Kaylee, Alana, Tess, Brooklyn & Ava. She was such as cutie as she picked out and tried on outfits with her friends, had her make-up, hair and nails done and walked the red carpet. Too cute!

Memorial Day Weekend Lunch at the Gnarly Gar...

I absolutely love going out to the floating restaurant on Lake Travis to eat. I gues it's the atmosphere. Although it's quite a long drive just for lunch, we go about once a year. This was Cage's first trip... Ky of course loves to feed the ginormous fish!

After two years at Friendship Kids Mother's Day Out, Kylie graduated to Kindergarten!!! Our little 4 year old, soon to be 5, marched up in her cap to retrieve her certificate. What a proud day. We love our brave girl!

For Ky's second year of Dance, she participated in the Hip Hop, Bop & Tumble class at Dance Xplosion! She did such a wonderful job dancing to Shrek's "I'm a Believer." We were so proud as she marched on stage with her class and for the second year in a row showed no fear!!! You go girl!

So, on the morning of May 3, 2011 I walked myself into the Operating Room for one of the most frightening experiences of my life... The blessing that unfolded within that room was a beautiful baby boy. At 7:59 AM, Cody & I welcomed Cage Justin Jones into our family at 7lbs 10oz and 20 1/2 inches. Thank you Jesus for our son!

Easter Sunday Fun

On Easter Sunday after church, Papa, MelMel & Granny came for a visit. Kylie had tons of fun with Daddy & Papa as they hid eggs and found them over and over. All the practice paid off, I believe she found the most! After a lunch of chili dogs, potato salad, chips and dip.... We had fun in the sun with confetti eggs. What a perfect day!
