Kylie had her first school program on Sunday at Friendship Baptist Church. We are so proud of her for singing each of the songs and for not getting too shy. Time sure does fly by. Now that the program is over she still spends each day singing "Jesus Loves Me this I know for the Bible tells me so". Too cute!

Trunk or Treat!

Game Day! Ky must be bummed to be missing the BEVO game, just look at her face!

It's my chocolate Daddy!

Every year on Halloween we attend Trunk or Treat put on by our church. They have expanded and now use part of the parking lot next to GattiTown. It is such an awesome idea, instead of traveling from door to door in neighborhoods of people we do not know, we walk around and visit cars parked in a semi-circle with trunks decorated and loaded down with candy! (Inside the semi-circle are games, music, etc...) The best thing is, we know all of these wonderful people so we can focus on good family fun and not "Scary Halloween Things" as Ky refers to the neighborhood decorations now! Here are some pics of us playing and eating dinner at GattiTown afterward.

Pumpkin Patch!

I know, it has been forever since I have posted anything. I don't have much but with the Holiday's fast approaching I am sure there will be lots to come. Last week we went to the Pumpkin Patch to pick out our pumpkins for this year. Ky picked out two, one to carve and one to decorate with her silly faces decorations. As soon as we carve it we will post some more pics!

Labor Day Weekend

Since Cody had to work Dove Hunters this last weekend, Kylie and I went to see MelMel and Papa. Kylie had so much fun, it was like a mini vacation for me. Kylie would follow Papa around everywhere he went and I got to curl up and read. What fun! On Saturday, MelMel, Ky and I went to the parade in Tarpley. It was just the right size for Ky and of course we went home with tons of candy. YEAH! Here are some pics.

Mother's Day Out

On Wednesday, Kylie started her first day of Mother's Day Out. She was so excited! She got dressed, helped pack her lunch and let Daddy take her picture all decked out and ready to go. She seems to love it. She comes home telling us all sorts of things and has even started a binder to keep all of her "Schoolwork" in. She's so grown up!

Boarding the Lexington.

We took a short Family Vacation to Corpus this year so Kylie could see the beach. She had so much fun! She keeps telling us that she wants to move to the beach. We on the other hand, don't mind visiting but living near sand is not my favorite thing! On our first day there we visitied the Lexington. On our second day we did a lot if sight seeing and playing on the beach. Kylie was even able to dig up a buried treasure. Then, on our last day we went to the Texas State Aquarium to show Ky all of the animals. Enjoy the pics!

Bowling

Watching for the pins to fall down

Ky's 6 pound bowling ball. Watch your toes!

I know I have not been posting as regularly as I would like, but working two jobs over the summer just plain wore me out. So lately I have just been posting the pics of things we have done to get us all caught up. Last Monday we had a Family Fun Day and took Ky bowling. She was reluctant at first but seemed to get into it and was upset when we had to leave. As much as we tried, she would not even think about putting on the bowling shoes. Who would have thought, as much as she loves stylish shoes. Kylie even knew which ball was hers and when it was her turn by the end of the game! Way to go kidlet!

Feeding the Bevo!

We took a quick trip to San Angelo a few weekends ago for a wedding. We were able to visit with friends, dance and spend some time with MeMe and BigBud. We also dropped by to see the Bevo's on our way back home.

Burgers and Beer!

To welcome the New Wardens to the area, Cody cooked up some awesome burgers, passed out the beer, set up the washer boards and had some fun! It was so great to meet them and get to hang out with them and their families. Could this be a yearly thing Cody?

John & Sunny's Wedding

On July 4th our good friends John and Sunny got married at the Oasis. It was a nice ceremony at sunset looking out over the lake. Cody and I read the readings during the wedding, talk about being nervous. Then of course Ky and I had lots of yummy cake and watched fireworks since Cody had to go back to work!

Old Settler's Get To Gather

I know I am extremely far behind on blogging so... Here is a pic from the Old Settler's Get To Gather in Bandera. It was fun getting to hang with MelMel the night before. Just the girls at the hotel!

Turning Three Years Old!

So, this year our little girl turned three. Sob! She even woke up one day singing Happy Birthday to herself. Too Cute! On her birthday she wanted to eat at Gatti-Town, so of course we went and had tons of fun, but not nearly as much fun as she had today at Goin' Bananas. This was not her first time to go, and every time she has been in the past, she has been too scared to play on the big inflatables until today, when she had lots of friends there too, to help her celebrate. So, here is to our little girl turning three, with lots of fun, pizza and cake!

Mini Golf

For "Family Fun Day" we decided to go up to Hudson Bend and try out Daybreak Golf Park. This was Ky's first time to play mini golf. She was so excited the whole way there, even though she had no idea what golfing was. When we got to the park Ky picked out her own ball, pink of course, and they even had a club her size. We played 9 holes of the 18 hole course and then decided to pack it up and head over to Johnny Finns for dinner, 1 cent kidlet meals on Mondays. Yummy. Kylie even got to feed the ducks.

Ain't she cute?

Meeting Baby Maren!

About a week ago we went to San Angelo where we were finally able to meet Jennifer & Waleed's baby girl Maren, who is now 6 months old!!! How time sure flies. Of course we also were able to spend some time with MeMe and BigBud too, but Maren sure was the star of the trip for Ky. Here are some pics.

Mother's Day 2009!

For Mother's Day we made a quick trip to see Granny and MelMel, a new tradition since Granny moved into her cute little apartment. We opened all of our presents and of course had a huge lunch in the dining hall complete with dessert, a must for our special day. I'm bummed because this year we did not get a photo of all of us girls, four generations all together at once. (Granny, MelMel, Honey & Ky) The biggest surprise of all was for Ky though. When we hopped into the truck to come home, MelMel came with us. Surprise!
