MelMel's Surgery

So, today Mom had her surgery. I'm glad to say that the doctor believes that it was a success and that he managed to snag all of the fibroids laproscopicly. So, all we can do now is hope for the best and that she feels better soon. She is now at home. Yippee!

ER Visit!

So, we went to visit MelMel & Papa for a few days. We thought it would be lots of fun and play but on Thursday morning Kylie developed a fever. I gave her some tylenol, which I always take along with us, but within a couple of hours Ky's fever had gone up to 104 and did not want to go down. I did not have any ibuprofen to give alongside the tylenol, and it was way to early to get another dose of meds, and of course we were miles away from town and the store, so Cody paged the doctor with my cell number. The doctor quickly agreed that we should take Ky to the ER to find out what was wrong. So, long story short, all of the blood work, chest X-rays, etc.. came back negative and the doctor gave Ky some antibiotics since her bacteria somewhere in one of the tests measured a +1 although he said it was not abnormal. So, she seems to be doing better today so lets keep our fingers crossed that tonight stays the same.

Zach Theatre

So, on Friday I took Kylie to see Home Sweet Home at the Zach Theatre in Austin. Kylie loved it, all the silly costumes and singing as well as dancing fascinated her. We went to our first play around Christmas and Kylie loved it, she sat still for 45 minutes as the characters used very few props and themselves to put on a very entertaining play. This time she insisted on putting on a dress and taking Ms. Linda. Again she sat in her seat for 45 minutes and watched as all the drama unfolded before her. The neat thing about this theatre is that they have certain plays, such as the one we attended, designed for children ages 3-7. What fun! http://www.zachtheatre.org/
