Game Warden Association Convention

So, this last weekend we attended the Game Warden Association Convention at the YO Ranch in Mountain Home. It was so much fun! We were able to stay in a Rustic Cabin, yes it had a bathroom and a heater but boy was it cold... The cabin was remodeled to have modern conveniences but it was still the frontier style, made of rock and boards with no insulation, and when the sun was out you could see right through the slats where the boards were laid side by side. Don't get me wrong, it may have been cold but we would go again! On Saturday we went on the YO Safari bus, where Kylie was able to feed and pet a Giraffe, see an ostrich, and other various exotic animals. She had so much fun that she literally cried for about 30 minutes when we loaded up and headed home on Sunday, she wanted to stay and play with all of her new friends (Marshall & Walker Jackson) run & play outside and of course have new adventures with Mommy & Daddy.
We could not resist this picture!

Ky's Lunch Date with Ryan!

We have been so busy lately that we have not been able to spend much time with any of Ky's friends. I am really trying hard to start scheduling more time for "hanging out". So, today we went to Red Robin and spent some time with Jodi and Ryan. Here are a few pics.

Making Valentine Gifts!

Kylie loves baking cookies and decorating them, something we do as a family every year for Valentine's Day. This year she had quite a few to do for all of her friends. She sat down, colored all of her Valentine cards, helped us roll out the cookie dough, cut out hearts and finally decorated them with Daddy. She even delivered all of her Valentine's to her friends today. Too Cute.

Valentine's Breakfast

So, we had to celebrate Valentine's Day early this year, since we are attending the Game Warden Convention which unfortunately falls on Valentine's weekend. Although it is a rather Commercialized Holiday (being that we love everyone everyday) we still have fun with it every year and fall into the trap of "Love" and "Hearts" and of course trying to teach Kylie the concept of "LOVE". So this year I made Cody & Kylie special pancakes... I have to admit they were pretty cute and mighty tasty!

The Cute Things Kids Say...

So, now that Kylie seems to be talking up a storm, asking tons of questions, singing to every song on the radio and then some, we have really started working on using manners. As my Summer School students would say, using our "Courtesies". At the age of 2 1/2 she is fully able to use these manners but sometimes we get some of them all jumbled for instance, as we run through the house and try to get by Daddy one might say "Excuse me Sir Daddy". Loved it...
